This event was organized to discuss practical applications and future strategies for ‘multimodal AI’ that integrates and analyzes data. Experts from world-renowned research institutions, including the host Columbia University, the University of Minnesota, the University of Florida, and the University of Turku in Finland, attended in large numbers.

During the morning public session, Professor Incheol Jung presented on ‘Application Cases of Multimodal AI in Healthcare’. He particularly introduced the RLRC (Leading Research Center for Cerebrovascular Diseases), which he currently leads, sharing the development status of an AI-based full-cycle disease management platform and global collaboration strategies in the digital healthcare field, which received a great response.

The afternoon expert roundtable featured in-depth discussions on the risks and solutions for multimodal AI systems. Professor Jeong highlighted practical challenges including ▲ balancing data value and legal risks ▲ patient safety and healthcare provider liability issues ▲ privacy protection and governance, proposing an optimized model between innovation and safety nets.

Additionally, while outlining a blueprint for medical AI toward 2030, he exchanged views with global scholars on how multimodal AI can improve actual clinical workflows and revolutionize patient experiences.

Professor Jung In-cheol stated, “It is meaningful to discuss the changes AI will bring to the medical field with researchers from world-renowned universities, including Columbia University,” adding, “We will continue our research and collaboration so that the research achievements of Hallym University's RLRC Center can become the standard for intelligent medical solutions that are applicable not only domestically but also in the global market.”
