한국에서 외국인유학생 비자만으로 영리,취업 활동은 원칙적으로 금지되나, 시간제 취업 또는 자격외 활동에 대한 사전 허가를 받은 경우에 한하여 허용됩니다. 

즉, 사전 허가받지 않은 근로는 불법입니다. 사전 허가 신청은 출입국 통합신청서에서 "체류자격 외 활동허가" 체크하여 작성 후 필수서류와 함께 제출하는 방식입니다. 

신청하는 학생의 언어능력에 따라 근무시간에 제한이 있으니, 자세한 사항은 첨부파일을 참조하기 바랍니다.

* 고용주에게 확인서 작성 및 일부 필수서류를 받아서 제출하고, 반드시 근로계약상 근무시작일 전에 허가신청을 받아야 합니다.

* 교내 근로장학생 신분으로 근무하는 것은 신고 대상에 해당되지 않습니다. 

* 교외 (주로) 공공기관에 대학 추천으로 근무하는 경우는 시간제취업에 해당될 수도 있고, 해당되지 않을 수도 있습니다. 별도 확인이 필요합니다. 그 외 교외 아르바이트를 대학에서 알선하지 않습니다. 

* 시간제취업신청은 동시 최대 2개 업체로 제한이 있습니다.

* 출입국에서 불법취업을 불시에 단속합니다. 사전허가 미신고 상태로 아르바이트를 하다 적발되는 경우 불법취업에 따른 법적 처벌(과태료 부과 등) 외에도 체류 관련 불이익이 있으니, 유의하시어 반드시 시간제취업 사전 신고하기 바랍니다.

It is prohibited to engage in commercial or employment activities in Korea with a student(D-2) visa, but it is permitted with prior permission for part-time employment or work activities. 

Please make sure that you work legally. To apply, you must fill out the integral application (report) form and check in the box of "engage in activities not covered by the status of sojourn" along with the required documents. 

There is working time limits based on the applicant's language ability. Please refer to the attachment for details.

* The student must ask the employer to fill out the related part of the confirmation form and ask for relevant required documents. Please be notified again that this part-time job application must be done before the official date of work-start written on the contract. 

* This process does not apply to working as a student-assistant on campus or getting any kind of scholarships.

* This process may or may not apply to working off-campus by the university's recommendation, usually in governmental institutions . It is necessary to check for each circumstance. Other kinds of off-campus jobs are not arranged by Hallym University. 

* Part-time job application is limited for 2 companies at a time. 

* Immigration authorities conduct unannounced inspections for illegal employment. If you are caught working part-time without prior authorization, you will face not only legal penalties (such as fines) but also adverse consequences regarding your residency status. Please be aware of this and be sure to get a prior permission for part-time employment or work activities.
